“Let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the Pioneer and Perfector of faith.”
| Hebrews 12:2 |

This world seeks our attention and focus in so many ways. 2024 will be no different—elections will be voted in, wars will be waged, and the tempter will continue his work.

Through it all, the Hebrew writer says “fix your eyes on Jesus.” The Greek word he uses is different than “look” or “see.” It literally means “look away from one thing and concentrate on something else.”

This year our call is to live on this earth with a constant eye on God and His promises.
